How to Create an Online Roster

How to Create an Online Roster

Each rostered  player must be a paid-up UPA member. Instructions for players to sign up and pay are on the Player's Checklist.  Have each player provide you with a filled-out copy of the checklist which includes the information you need for rostering and several other important items.

To create an Online Roster, you will need each player:

  • Name (as registered with the UPA)
  • UPA ID #
  • E-mail address (optional)

There are instructions available that can walk you through the process at: www.upa.org/roster/help.

  1. From the UPA home page, www.upa.org, click the Member Login link.
  2. Enter your E-mail Address and Password and then click Login.

Create a Roster

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the UPA Membership Home Page and click the Online Rostering link.
  2. Click Create a new roster.
  3. Click Continue with Roster Creation.
  4. Click Sanctioned Event.
  5. Scroll down the list and click 2008 MN HS SPRING LEAGUE.
  6. On the Create Roster page, click the checkbox and then click Continue.
  7. Enter your team name, state, and city. Click Create Roster.
  8. Click Add Multiple Players (or to add just one player, click Add Player).
  9. For each player, enter First Name, Last Name, and UPA ID#. (The e-mail address is optional.)
  10. Click Add Players to Roster.

Check Player Status and Submit the Roster

  1. When you are done adding players to your roster, check that your players are all in the UPA database. You must do this step before you can submit your roster. Click Check Players’ Statuses. If there are any problems with the statuses of your players, follow the links on screen to resolve them.
  2. Click Submit Roster. Any players who were not found in the UPA database are automatically removed from the roster. NOTE: You cannot edit a player’s information after you submit your roster – you can only remove them. To edit a player’s information, remove them from the roster and then add them again with the updated information.
  3. You can still add new players to the roster. The details of these new players are editable until the roster is submitted again.
