Coaches, Captains, and Players,
Get your teams together and register for the 2008 Spring League. We're expecting
a record number of teams again, so don't delay!
FEES AND COSTS
The League Fee for 2008 is still an affordable $30 per player. All players must
also pay a $20 fee for a UPA membership. League fees and UPA membership dues are
paid separately. See the Team Registration page for details
about how the fees should be paid. Any additional costs for equipment such as jerseys
and discs will be determined by individual teams.
SCHEDULE AND GAMES
The 2008 Spring League consists of eight weeks of league play and ends with a two-day
tournament. There are two divisions – Open (boys and girls) and Girls (girls only).
Open teams may choose to include both boys and girls, or just boys.
- GIRLS games will be played every Tuesday beginning April 8, 2008.
- OPEN
games will be played every Thursday beginning April 10, 2008.
- Games start at
6:00pm unless otherwise determined by the team captains. Teams will have an equitable
number of home and away games.
- Players are responsible for providing their own
transportation to all games. Carpools are encouraged.
- An adult chaperone associated
with the team must be present at each league game. See League Rules.
- The end of season tournament will be held
on May 31-June 1, 2008 in Maple Plain.
Much of the process of registering players and teams can be done on-line.
We've tried to include all the information you need to do these tasks on these pages..
Click here for Team Registration information and
here to see a Player's Checklist with references to all forms needed for
getting your team and players registered.
To encourage everyone to take advantage of on-line rostering, the League will be
holding a pre-season coaches meeting and registration session on March 4th
at 6:30pm at Nokomis Library in Minneapolis. We'll explain the online registration
process!
